We’re blessed with a superb range of streaming platforms that making conventional TV almost obsolete. Amongst the many streaming options out there, we also have loads of great series to watch. Seeing as you’re probably spending a lot of time in front of the TV right now, I thought I’d deliver the best TV shows you can stream. Some of these I have yet to see but from what I have heard from others they are a must see!

The Mandalorian

If you’re a Star Wars fan, then this is a must-watch. Even if you’re not, it’s certainly one of the best TV shows to hit
streaming platforms in the last year. You get a cinema experience on the small screen, and there are loads of epic fight scenes and twists and turns. Plus, as I’m sure you’re aware, there’s the all-important Baby Yoda character. If you’ve seen the memes, then you’ll be pleased to know it’s even cuter in the series itself!

You

If you have not seen this Netflix Original Series then you need to now! I have never seen Dexter but I heard if you love that show than you will love YOU. I personally LOVE this show. The twists and turns Joe puts you through is insane. This show will keep you on the edge of your seat with surprises around every corner! Even though he is the bad guy (and very psychotic) you find yourself forgetting he is the bad seed and you end up rooting for him! I personally cannot wait for the next season to come out!

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

It’s Always Sunny is one of the most criminally underrated shows of all time. I would never have heard of it if it wasn’t for a friend telling me I had to give it a watch. So, there’s a lesson for you – if you want to get better TV and movie recommendations during quarantine, then listen to what your friends have to say! As soon as I started watching it, I was blown away by how absurdly funny it is. This is like a subversion of your typical sitcom, and I can’t really compare it to anything else. If you like things that are different from the norm, then give this comedy a go.

Peaky Blinders

This drama is set in the early 1900s just after The Great War, and from what I hear it is incredible. The main protagonist is Tommy Shelby, who is wonderfully portrayed by the amazing Cillian Murphy. In fact, all the actors on the show are fantastic. It follows a gang called the Peaky Blinders as they look to take control of their home city and the rest of the UK. The brilliant thing about it (besides the tension and drama) is that you find yourself rooting for them the whole time,as well. Despite the fact they’re killing and breaking the law, they always seem like the good guys! This is one that I will be watching very soon!

Tiger King

Of course, I couldn’t end this article without talking about Tiger King. This documentary series is unlike any other. You have to pinch yourself to remember that this is in fact a documentary and not a mockumentary. All the people are real, and that is mindblowing. You’ll understand why this is so crazy when you see it, just be prepared for the ride of your life. If you’re not someone that watches docuseries that much, then this is the perfect show to break that trend. I have yet to watch this show but everyone around me has been obsessed with it. It’s crazy how one series can go viral with memes. You thought baby yoda memes went worldwide fast, but I was seeing memes of Tiger King before I even knew about the show! LOL

All of these series are available on at least one streaming platform right now. So, if you’re keen to get stuck into a show and soak up some extra hours, feel free to make your way through these suggestions.

Other shows I would check out as well are: Ozark, The Witcher, and The Sinner!!!

Let me know what you think!
