Healthy Snacks That Won’t Make You Feel Guilty

Snacks can and should be healthy! After all, when something is tasty and nutritious it will make you feel like you have more energy rather than something that’s just laden with a substance you don’t need and makes you feel a bit sluggish afterwards. I don’t know about you, but I am a HUGE ‘snacker’ so when it comes to what I snack on I make sure its healthy and delicious. When I say healthy, I don’t mean you have to cut out everything and only eat raw foods, you can eat healthy and still have every indulgent you crave.

So, with that in mind, let’s go through some of the healthy and tasty snacks that you can really treat yourself with! They can be super indulgent when you want them to be, and who knows how often you’ll be whipping them up in the future. I know I have whipped up a few myself and I am still losing weight every week! 🙂

Tropical Smoothies

Smoothies are well known for being healthy things to blend together, then take sips of in the afternoon, so why not hone your smoothie skills for your snacking future? Because a tropical flavored smoothie could go a long way for ensuring your snacks are both healthy and tasty.

With fruit items like apples, mangos, bananas, passion fruits, grapefruits, etc., you can make all kinds of tropical themed smoothies. They’re thick, tasty, and pack a powerful punch of natural (and good!) sugars that your body will love to soak up.

Eggs and Toast

Eggs and toast sounds very simple on the surface, but that’s what you want here. It’s a simple base that’s easy to whip up as a snack, but so many tasty and nutritious ingredients can be added to it!

You can make a little egg salad of your own, with ingredients like leafy greens of your own preference, a bit of essential spice from a drop of mustard, as well as red onions, chopped parsley, and maybe even a handful of chives? Mix them altogether and you’ve got a wonderfully healthy egg salad to spice up the toast base.

If you love Avocado, like myself, you can add some of that to the toast or even to the egg salad itself. The options are endless with this snack!

Peanut Butter

I am a huge fan of peanut butter, especially with options they give you. Crunchy, creamy, but my favorite is crunchy. If you don’t like peanuts you could always try almond butter as well. The best thing about this is that you pair it with some many options! My go to snack is cutting up some celery and apples to dip into the peanut butter. Also, a peanut butter and banana sandwich is very tasty and a must try!

Some Pretzels

Pretzels can come in both sweet and savory varieties, but for a healthy spread, you might want to rely on the latter option. And pretzels are insanely good, by nature! Why not think about learning how to make them yourself, or looking up your recipe options? Websites like esprovisions.com can offer you big gift boxes of pretzels, with all the right salted and savory trimmings to go with them.

A Bit of Popcorn!

And finally, you’ve got your popcorn options. We all know about salt and sweet, but did you know you can make chocolate varieties? Something like white chocolate popcorn is an amazing treat for movies, but if you exchange the white chocolate for some dark chocolate, you get a much more healthy treat. Make sure you salt your popcorn beforehand for that wonderful hint of salted caramel that really brings out all of the flavor.

Healthy snacks can and do exist! Make sure you’re whipping them up on a semi regular basis, to ensure your diet is well balanced and still a lot of fun. After all, what we eat really does make us, and snacks like those above will make for some happy people!

Let me know what you think!
