Have you seen Dolittle yet? If not then you have no idea what you are missing out on! Robert Downey Jr completely out does himself, yet again. Even though he was amazing, let us not forget Harry Collett as Tommy Stubbins and Carmel Laniado as Lady Rose. They were absolutely adorable and the way their personalities went together was perfect. They could not have picked a better cast! The movie in itself though.. hilariously, adorable but at the same time, the story line about what happens to make him get to where he was in the beginning, is so sad and yet so powerful. Keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole movie, expect for when you laugh so hard you fall off… lol! Check out the auditions with the animals below!!
I have three deadly problems:
1. I’ve seriously offended a maniacal killer.
2. I just had a bullet removed from my brain.
3. My new daughter is growing up too fast–and she’s in the line of fire.
Living on an obscure, technology-free island off California means safety from the murderer who hunts Kellen Adams and her new family…. Or does it? Family time becomes terror-time, and at last, alone, Kellen faces a killer playing a cruel game. Only one can survive, and Kellen knows who must win…and who must die.
After reading this book I realized it’s actually the third in a trilogy and I’m kinda upset because I loved this book. I wish I read the others before hand but it’s ok because I will get those books and read them as well! Kellen is so strong and inspiring. You can’t help but feel every emotion she feels. There were so many omg moments that I honestly cannot wait to read all the books from the beginning to see how she got to be this strong, amazing women who under the worst circumstances still will do anything to protect her family.
If you have not read this series I would recommend you to do so now. Although, don’t do what I did and read them in order
I have to say that I was so excited to be apart of the press screening to go see this movie before it came out and let me say it was AMAZING! We all know by the description and the trailer the movie is all about Yi, Jin, and Peng’s adventure in making sure Everest gets back to his home and back to his family. But until you see the movie you don’t see everything else.
Let’s start with the main character Yi. She loses her father and with it her chance of traveling across China with him like they had planned. Everyday she picks up little jobs all day long to make money so she can save money to take that trip one day, which keeps her busy and out of the house. Her mom and grandma worry about her because she is never around and Yi doesn’t realize just how much they are affected by it & how much she appreciates them until after the adventure. When Everest escapes from Burnish he ends up on the rooftop of where Yi lives and where she keeps a roadmap with pinned with postcards her Dad saved of the places they would visit. Everest remembered every postcard and made sure on their adventure to get him home Yi got the adventure she dreamed of as well. Everyone looked at Everest and automatically got scared but not Yi. She saw the lost child who was scared and just wanted to be home which made Everest love her more. Their relationship just goes to show we should never judge a book by its cover.
Then there’s Peng. He was all about his phone and taking selfies that he wasn’t even paying attention to the world around him. His life was about how other’s percieved him as and it wasn’t until he watched Yi and Peng ‘take the leap’ to save Everest that he took the leap too. It still took him awhile to realize that there was more to life then just his phone and social media but when he does it makes you realize just how much social media effects people now and days.
My favorite thing about this movie isn’t just the inspirational aspects of it but the lessons you learn. Just as there are so many ‘belly laughing almost pee your pants’ moments at the same time there are sweet and sad moments that just make you think. I know it made me think. Watching Yi get her adventure just reminded me of how much I have let so much distract me from what I want out of life. This movie was very inspirational, it is defientely a ‘must-see’ DreamWorks Production!! There is so much more to this movie then when I have said but I’ll let you find it out all out when you watch it!
