From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.
Have you seen this movie yet?! If not I recommend you go see it right away while it’s still in the theaters. I was lucky enough to attend the press screening of this movie and it was amazing. Some people I have talked to have said that at some parts it was slow and drawn out, but I beg to differ. Storm Reid played the character of Meg beautifully. Everyone may have their own interpretation of the movie, but for me it was more than just Meg trying to find her father. It was about Meg finding and believing in herself. The way the Mrs’ help Meg in searching for her father and helping her believe in herself and her self-worth is amazing and inspiring.
Ava Duvernay directed an amazing movie. The casting for all characters were spot on, especially Reese Witherspoon for Mrs. Whatsit! She was absolutely hilarious! I hope if you have not gone to see this movie yet you will do so as soon as you can.
